Global Database has been admitted as a Full Member of FEBIS, the Federation of Business Information Services. The FEBIS Board approved the membership of Global Data Intelligence Limited, which trades as Global Database, following its review of the federation's membership framework, and FEBIS has announced the membership on its website. As a member, Global Database commits to the FEBIS statutes and Code of Conduct.
Founded in 1973 and based in Hamburg, FEBIS is the recognised industry body for providers of business information services used to manage trade risk. Its members are the companies that help businesses understand who they are trading with: who owns a company, whether it is still active, and whether it can pay.
“After more than a decade working with government registry data, I’m glad to be getting involved in the wider business information community. There’s plenty to discuss: improving coverage across countries, making ownership information easier to understand, and putting AI to practical use in company research. We look forward to sharing what we’ve learned and hearing how other members approach these challenges.”Nicolae Buldumac, Founder and CEO, Global Database
What Global Database brings to FEBIS
As a company intelligence and data provider, Global Database has spent more than ten years collecting company data directly from government registries, and that work now spans more than 400 registries. It digitises filed financial statements, connects people to the companies they direct and own, and builds ownership and UBO graphs that customers use to verify businesses and assess credit risk.
Source transparency runs through all of it. Every record shows which registry the information came from and when it was last updated, so a finding can be traced back to the official record when a client, an auditor or a regulator asks where it came from.
The same data powers Regis, Global Database’s AI company analyst. Regis lets users research businesses, analyse financial statements and investigate ownership by asking questions in plain language, and returns answers grounded in the filings behind them.
What comes next
As a FEBIS member, Global Database will take part in the federation’s community and activities, contributing its experience in registry data collection and applied AI. The focus is practical: wider and more consistent coverage across jurisdictions, ownership information that is easier to read and verify, and AI that helps analysts work faster without losing sight of the source.
