05

Every record is yours to redistribute.

Why primary source

A verification that holds up under audit

When a regulator asks where a record came from, "our data provider told us" is not an answer. Every check has to trace back to the registry itself.

Every field cites its source

Regulators ask where a data point came from. With Global Database, the answer travels with the record itself — not in a separate report you have to reconcile.

Registry of record

The named government registry the field was retrieved from — the same source a regulator would check.

Direct filing link

A link to the underlying filing on the registry, so any reviewer can confirm the record independently.

Original document

The filed document itself, retrievable exactly as the registry published it.

Retrieval timestamp

The exact moment the record was pulled, giving your audit trail a defensible point in time.

Reliability

Registries go down.
Your onboarding keeps running.

Both routes end at the same register. The difference is whether that register has to be awake when you ask, and what you are left holding afterwards. Every field we return carries the moment it was last read, so you can see how current it is.

Always on

Hosted registry data

Read from our infrastructure

  • Every register, not just the ones with an API

Including the many that publish no machine interface.

  • The same answer, months later

A record can be re-checked as it stood on the day.

  • Linkage already resolved

Ownership chains joined across borders and schemes.

  • 99.9% uptime

A registry outage never becomes your outage.

  • Any volume, in bulk or one by one

No rate limit inherited from the register.

  • Perpetual monitoring

Re-read daily, with the change pushed to you.

Live registry lookup

Read from the register, on request

  • Only where an API exists

Where there is no interface, there is no lookup.

  • Only today's state

A register shows now, not what it said when you cleared the file.

  • Linkage assembled by you

Every hop is another query, in another scheme.

  • Outages are frequent

Maintenance and downtime take the check with them.

  • One entity per request, rate limited

Backfills and portfolio reviews run entity by entity.

  • Monitoring is impractical

Re-querying the whole book on a schedule is not viable.

Perpetual KYB

A file you cleared last year is a claim about last year

Move any verified company into perpetual monitoring. We re-read its registry record daily and push the change to you — status, officers, registered address, ownership, and new filings — so a review is triggered by the register, not by the calendar.

Questions, answered

Where does Global Database source its company data?

Directly from the government registry of record in each jurisdiction — over 400 official registries across 200+ countries. It's primary-source data, not a repackaged third-party aggregate.

How current is the data?

Registry records are synced daily, so a check reflects the latest filed position. Each field also carries the exact timestamp it was retrieved.

Which countries and registries are covered?

200+ countries and 400+ registries, spanning 600M+ companies. We can confirm coverage for the specific jurisdictions you operate in.

What do I need to run a check?

A company name, registration number, or VAT. Fuzzy matching resolves ambiguous or partial names to the correct legal entity before the record is returned.

How does source attribution work?

Every field returns with the registry it came from, a direct link to the underlying filing, and the retrieval timestamp — so any reviewer or regulator can trace a value back to source.

Do you use a proprietary company identifier?

No lock-in. Records are keyed to open registry numbers and LEIs, so your verified data stays portable and yours to use across your own systems.

Can I redistribute the data in my own product?

Yes — redistribution rights are available under licence, so you can build verified registry data into your own products and screening flows.

How are modelled fields handled?

Fields taken from a filing are shown as filed. Estimated figures such as modelled revenue or headcount are clearly labelled as modelled, and never presented as registry data.

Can I keep companies monitored after onboarding?

Yes. Move any verified company into Perpetual KYB and get notified when its registry record changes — status, officers, address, or ownership.

How do I integrate?

Through the REST API, the browser dashboard, or connectors for Claude and ChatGPT. The same attributed record is available across all of them.
