Data licensing

Building a product on company data?

A licence is a different agreement from a subscription. It covers redistribution and white-label rights, raw delivery, and a defined territory and term — so the data can sit inside something you sell, not just a screen your staff read.

01

Software and platforms

Embedding company records in a product your customers use.

02

Data providers and distributors

Delivering our records onward under your brand or with attribution.

03

AI and agent builders

Grounding a product on data you are licensed to show and cite.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask before the call.

How much does company data cost?

It is quoted against four inputs: annual volume, the modules and markets you need, how the data is delivered, and your usage rights. A single-market verification API for a mid-market onboarding flow and a multi-country bulk licence with redistribution rights are different orders of magnitude, so we scope before we quote.

What it is not priced on is seat count — corporate agreements include unlimited users. On the call you will get an indicative range before anyone writes a proposal.

I only need to check one company. What should I do?

Buy a single business report on that company instead of booking a call. It covers the credit score and recommended limit, up to 20 years of filed accounts, directors and shareholders, group structure, charges and mortgages, and County Court Judgements — all from the official registry. You pay once and there is no contract.

If you would rather ask a question than read a full report, Regis answers in plain language and is free to start. Either way a demo call would be slower and give you nothing extra for one company.

Where does the data actually come from?

Primary, government-sourced records, taken directly from 400+ official government registries across 200+ countries — Companies House in the UK, the CRO in Ireland, ACRA in Singapore, the Registro delle Imprese in Italy, and the 50 Secretary of State registries in the US, among others.

Every field carries its source and collection date, so a record can be traced back to the filing it came from. Where a registry does not publish something, we return nothing rather than estimating it. Full detail is on data sources and how we collect data.

Does the contract include contact data and people linkage?

Yes — both sit alongside the registry record rather than in a separate agreement. People linkage lets you pivot from a person to every directorship and shareholding they hold across the markets we cover. B2B contact data adds name, job title, work email, phone, LinkedIn profile, location, professional headline, work experience, education and skills, delivered through waterfall enrichment across 15 contact data partners.

Whether contact data is switched on affects the commercial scope, so flag it on the form.

Can I connect this to Claude, ChatGPT or our own AI agents?

Yes. There are two routes. The MCP integration exposes registry data to Claude and other MCP-compatible agents, so the model answers company questions from filings rather than from training data. The Regis API returns natural-language answers as structured, cited output you can call from your own stack.

Either way, every answer carries a registry source — which is the part that makes it usable in a regulated workflow. See company data for AI agents.

Can we redistribute the data inside our own product?

Redistribution and white-label rights are available and are one of the four pricing inputs. That covers embedding records in a product you sell, showing them to your own customers, and delivering them onward under your brand or with attribution. Territory and term are agreed as part of the licence. Start with data licensing and redistribution, then raise it on the call so it is scoped from the outset rather than renegotiated later.

How deep is coverage in my market specifically?

It varies by registry, and we would rather show you than generalise. Some registries publish full financial statements with years of history; others publish identity, status and officers only. Platform-wide figures — 600M+ companies, 400+ registries, 200+ countries — describe the estate, not any one jurisdiction.

Name your markets on the form and we check them before replying, so the first call opens with what genuinely exists for you rather than a headline number.

How does this compare to Dun & Bradstreet, Moody's Orbis or OpenCorporates?

The honest summary is that the underlying records overlap; the sourcing model and the commercial model differ. We publish head-to-head breakdowns rather than claiming to win everywhere: vs Dun & Bradstreet, vs Moody's Orbis, vs Sayari and vs OpenCorporates. Read the one closest to your incumbent before the call and bring the objections with you.

What about security, GDPR and a DPA?

Global Data Intelligence Limited is a UK company (no. 09410808, VAT GB260423730), so UK GDPR and EU GDPR both apply to how we handle personal data. A data processing agreement is available as part of a corporate agreement, alongside SSO and an SLA agreed in contract.

Security questionnaires and certification evidence are handled during procurement — raise it on the form and we will send what your security team needs before the call rather than after it. Our privacy notice covers lawful basis and data subject rights.

What actually happens on the demo call?

Thirty minutes, against live data, on companies you choose rather than a prepared demo account. We open with coverage in your markets, then work through the specific question your team has — audit trail, financial depth, schema and identifiers, or licensing rights depending on who you are. You leave with a coverage answer and an indicative commercial range.

If your answers suggest we are not a fit, we say so in the reply instead of booking the call.
